From a Provincial Internet Administration Office: Reporting of news related to the recent ethnic conflicts between Mongol minority and Han majority in Xilinhot or Foxconn’s new suicide incident are prohibited. No discussion of any form on all micro-blogging sites, blogs, and discussion forums. Violators will be subjected to a RMB 30,000 fine.

Directives from the Ministry of Truth: May 1-31, 2011 | China Digital Times (CDT)

Above quote is an example of censorship instructions, issued to the media and/or Internet companies by the central government in China, that has been leaked (they are routinely being leaked). The above quote is extra spicy as it shows that it will actually cost me 30 000 YUAN yuan to write about the latest Foxconn suicide that Foxconn, the Chinese government, and, I’m guessing, Apple is trying to hush up.
